Small, lightweight specimens containing typical flaws found in cast and forged components. Designed for practical training, each unique specimen contains 1 – 3 flaws appropriate to the NDE discipline selected.

  • Training and practice prior to qualifications in basic flaw detection, sizing and interpretation
  • Understanding representative geometries
  • Gaining an awareness of reporting difficulties

Each specimen is individually numbered and supplied with:

  • Drawing / NDE Report(s) showing overall size, flaw type/size/location
  • Testing and acceptance criteria
  • Certificate of conformance
